Ahead of the Bruins' Centennial Game against Montreal on Sunday, Boston unveiled a new statue outside of TD Garden.
The Boston Bruins are celebrating their 100th year with a new bronze statue of a bear, symbolizing the team's mascot, which will be unveiled at TD Garden. This statue, created by artist Jeff Buccacio, captures the bear in a dynamic pose, reminiscent of Bobby Orr's famous flying goal celebration from the 1970 Stanley Cup Finals. The statue, weighing 600 pounds and standing 8 feet tall, will be placed outside the arena, joining other iconic figures like Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, and Ray Bourque. The unveiling is part of a series of events marking the centennial celebration, highlighting the team's rich history and its impact on Boston's sports culture.
