The South Range Music Boosters say their program has an "excellent" chance of winning, but they're asking for the public's help in voting.

The article discusses how the West Genesee High School marching band from Camillus, New York, is participating in Metallica's "For Whom the Band Tolls!" competition. This competition, now in its second year, invites high school and college marching bands to perform Metallica's music for a chance to win part of a $150,000 prize pool. The West Genesee band, under the direction of Scott Harrington, has chosen to perform "Master of Puppets" and "Enter Sandman." They are currently in the voting phase, where public votes help determine the winners. The band has been actively campaigning for votes through social media and community engagement, with the goal of not only winning but also to fund new uniforms and instruments. Voting for the competition ends on December 31, 2023.
