The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) has introduced several rule changes for the upcoming school year, affecting player eligibility and postseason scheduling among other aspects. Key changes include the expansion of the Educational Transfer Program, allowing students to transfer schools and play sports immediately if they meet specific academic criteria, and the introduction of a new "35-over-35" rule for football, which mandates a break after 35 plays or 35 minutes of elapsed time in the second half. These changes aim to enhance student-athlete experiences and streamline competition logistics.
