Double Olympic dressage champion Charlotte Dujardin has been suspended from competition for one year following a horse whipping controversy.

Charlotte Dujardin, a double Olympic dressage champion, has been handed a one-year suspension from competition following an anti-doping violation involving her horse, Times Kismet. The horse tested positive for a prohibited substance, which was found in a feed supplement that was not properly labeled. Despite Dujardin's assertion that she did not administer any banned substances intentionally, the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Tribunal imposed the suspension. The substance in question was identified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which was present in a feed product that had been mislabeled by the manufacturer. The tribunal acknowledged that there was no intent to cheat, but the rules were clear on strict liability for competitors. This incident has led to discussions about the need for clearer labeling and stricter controls on equine supplements.
