Iron Lynx unveils Mercedes WEC program

Iron Lynx, an Italian racing team, has announced its entry into the World Endurance Championship (WEC) with a new Mercedes-AMG GT3 program. The team will compete in the LMGT3 class, which is set to replace the GTE Am class in the 2024 season. Iron Lynx will field two Mercedes-AMG GT3 cars, marking a significant expansion of their racing portfolio which already includes participation in the GT World Challenge Europe and the European Le Mans Series. This move also signifies Mercedes' return to the WEC, albeit in a different class from their previous LMP1 efforts.
