The African version of the US-founded Professional Fighters League is getting ready for launch in July.

Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, has outlined his vision for expanding the Professional Fighters League (PFL) into Africa, aiming to provide a platform for African fighters to showcase their talents globally. Ngannou, who recently signed with PFL, emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for African fighters, similar to what he experienced in his career. He plans to establish a PFL Africa league, which will not only focus on competition but also on developing the sport's infrastructure across the continent. Ngannou's initiative includes setting up training facilities and organizing events to foster the growth of MMA in Africa, with the ultimate goal of integrating African fighters into the global PFL events and potentially hosting major PFL events on the continent.
