The University of Hawaii Maui College is set to host its first-ever international academic esports competition from March 15 to 17, 2024, at the UHMC Pā‘ina Building. This event will feature teams from various countries including the U.S., Canada, China, Japan, and South Korea, competing in games like "Valorant," "Rocket League," and "League of Legends." The competition aims to blend academic rigor with esports, offering participants a chance to engage in cultural exchange, learn about different educational systems, and explore career opportunities in the gaming industry.
