  WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) A fresh, active way to enjoy Pride month while embracing your inner child kicked off at Kirby Park on Saturday. The Rainbow Alliance is hosting its first-ever Field Gay, a grown-up Field Day celebrating pride, community, and play. Adults took on obstacle courses, relay races, and yes, even balloon-sitting contests. [ ]

The Field Gay competition, held at the Field House in Chicago, is a unique event celebrating Pride Month by bringing together members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies for a fun, inclusive sports day. Organized by Chicago's Field Museum, the event features various sports and games, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. Participants engage in activities like dodgeball, kickball, and tug-of-war, all while celebrating diversity and promoting inclusivity. The competition not only provides a platform for physical activity but also serves as a vibrant celebration of Pride, encouraging participants to express themselves freely and support one another.
