Rothesay County Championship 2025 fixtures: All the matches, dates and schedule for 2025 competition

Surrey to begin Rothesay County Championship title defence with visit to Chelmsford to take on Essex; newly-promoted Sussex and Yorkshire begin Division One campaigns at home to Durham and Leicestershire respectively;
The 2025 County Championship, sponsored by Rothesay, will commence on April 3 and conclude on September 26, featuring 14 teams divided into two divisions. The season will include 13 matches per team, with the first round starting with matches like Durham vs. Essex and Somerset vs. Kent. Key dates include the Vitality Blast starting on May 30, overlapping with the Championship, and the Metro Bank One-Day Cup beginning on July 25. The season will also see traditional fixtures like the Roses match between Lancashire and Yorkshire on May 11, and the London Derby between Middlesex and Surrey on May 25. The final round of matches will take place from September 22-25, with promotion and relegation playoffs scheduled for September 26.
