Lin was due to compete in the World Boxing Cup Finals in Sheffield, England but withdrew after the organisers questioned her eligibility.
Lin Yu-ting, Taiwan's first Olympic boxing champion, has withdrawn from the women's boxing event at the Asian Games in Hangzhou after questions were raised about her gender eligibility. The 27-year-old, who won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, faced scrutiny following a match where her opponent, India's Jaismine Lamboria, was disqualified for not meeting the weight requirements.
