- Many of the players have been at their respective clubs for years and played on various age group teams: 50s, 60s, 70s, 75s, and 80s.
The Suncoast Tennis League, established in 1980, has been a significant hub for senior tennis players in the Sarasota and Manatee counties of Florida. This league, which operates from November to April, has grown from a small group of players to now boasting over 1,000 members across 100 teams. It provides a competitive yet social environment for players aged 55 and above, with matches held at various local tennis facilities.
