Grid shapes up for inaugural Gedlich 6 Hours Portimao
- Gedlich Racing is just weeks away from its first six-hour endurance race with a growing entry list for Portimao's 31 January-2 February round
The inaugural Gedlich 6 Hours Portimao race, part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, is set to feature a diverse grid of 33 cars from various GT3 manufacturers including Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche. The event will take place at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal. Key highlights include the participation of teams like Team WRT, which will field three Audi R8 LMS GT3s, and the presence of notable drivers such as Dries Vanthoor, Charles Weerts, and Sheldon van der Linde. The race not only marks the beginning of the 2024 season but also showcases a blend of professional and amateur drivers, with teams like Herberth Motorsport and Grove Racing also competing. This event is significant as it sets the stage for the season's competitive dynamics and offers a platform for teams to showcase their capabilities in endurance racing.
