Utah gymnastics showed its good and bad in loss to Florida, win over West Virginia

Utah finished second overall in the three-team meet with a score of 197.425. Florida won the competition with a 197.575, while West Virginia finished a distant third with a 195.475. The Red Rocks were excellent on beam (49.525) and great on bars (49.300) but left something to be desired on floor (49.375) and vault (49.225).

The Utah gymnastics team faced a challenging meet where they lost to No. 2 Florida with a score of 197.825 to 198.150, but managed to defeat West Virginia, scoring 197.825 to West Virginia's 196.250. Despite the loss to Florida, Utah's Grace McCallum had an outstanding performance, tying for first on the uneven bars with a 9.950 and also securing first place on the floor exercise with another 9.950. The team's performance was highlighted by their resilience and individual achievements, with McCallum's scores being particularly notable. Utah's coach, Tom Farden, expressed disappointment in the team's execution but praised their effort and the positive aspects of their performance.
