16-year-old Michael Noonan made history by becoming the youngest ever goalscorer in European competition for an Irish club when he scored for Shamrock Rovers in their 2-1 victory over Molde in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Noonan, who came on as a substitute, scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute, securing a crucial win for Rovers in Norway. This match was part of the third qualifying round, and the result gives Shamrock Rovers a slight advantage going into the second leg at home. The game was also notable for the red card shown to Molde's Kristian Eriksen, which left the home side with ten men. This victory not only marks a personal milestone for Noonan but also boosts Shamrock Rovers' chances of progressing in the competition.
