Aaron Gordon, a forward for the Denver Nuggets, recently claimed on "The Big Podcast with Shaq" that his dunks during the 2016 and 2020 NBA All-Star Dunk Contests were better than those performed by Vince Carter in 2000. Gordon, who has been a runner-up in the contest twice, highlighted his creativity and the difficulty of his dunks, suggesting they were more impressive than Carter's iconic performance. Despite his claims, Gordon has not won the contest, famously losing in a controversial decision to Zach LaVine in 2016 and again in 2020 to Derrick Jones Jr. His comments have reignited discussions about the subjective nature of judging in the dunk contest and the legacy of memorable dunks in NBA history.
