The Virginia High School League (VHSL) has announced new dates and schedules for several state championships due to weather-related delays. The Class 1 and Class 2 boys' basketball semifinals, originally set for Thursday, have been rescheduled to Friday, March 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively at the Virginia Commonwealth University's Siegel Center. The Class 1 and Class 2 girls' basketball semifinals will now take place on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Class 3 and Class 4 boys' semifinals are moved to Friday, March 10, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., with the girls' semifinals for these classes set for Saturday, March 11, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The Class 5 and Class 6 championships will proceed as planned on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the same venue. Additionally, the VHSL has adjusted the schedule for the state swimming and diving championships, with Class 3 and Class 4 events now on Friday, March 10, and Class 5 and Class 6 on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at SwimRVA.
