On Saturday at Yankee Stadium, the Boston College Eagles lost the 2024 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl to Nebraska 20-15, finishing the year with a 7-6 record under first-year head coach Bill O'Brien.

The 2024 Pinstripe Bowl saw Nebraska defeating Boston College with a final score of 36-28. Despite a valiant effort by Boston College, who managed to score 21 points in the fourth quarter, they couldn't overcome an early 21-7 deficit. Nebraska's quarterback, Chubba Purdy, played a pivotal role, throwing for 169 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushing for 105 yards with another touchdown. Boston College's quarterback, Thomas Castellanos, had a notable performance as well, passing for 146 yards and two touchdowns, and rushing for 74 yards. However, Nebraska's defense was crucial in the win, particularly with a key interception by Tommi Hill in the end zone late in the game, which sealed the victory for the Cornhuskers.
