  • The third annual National Civics Bee is coming back to Centre County, and all middle school students are encouraged to submit an essay. The Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County is hosting the event and looking for middle school students to submit essays that engage with civics and

The National Civics Bee, an initiative by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is expanding to Centre County, Pennsylvania, aiming to enhance civic education among middle school students. This competition encourages students to engage with their communities, understand the significance of civic participation, and learn about American democracy. Participants will compete for a chance to win a $50,000 grand prize, with the event kicking off in the spring. The program not only focuses on competition but also on fostering a deeper understanding of civic responsibilities and the democratic process through various educational activities.
