  • Last week's two-hour ESPN broadcast of TGL's launch, a one-sided match, drew an average of 919,000 viewers, a figure that is sure to rise this week given it will be a rare look at Woods in competition.

Tiger Woods is set to make his debut in TGL, an innovative indoor golf league he co-founded with Rory McIlroy. TGL, which stands for Tomorrow's Golf League, is scheduled to start in January 2024 and will feature a unique format combining technology with live action. The league will consist of six teams with three players each, playing on a virtual course with a short-game complex. Matches will be held on Monday nights, aiming to attract a new audience to golf through a tech-forward approach. Woods, who has been recovering from ankle surgery, expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting its potential to engage fans in a new way.
