  • Over 300 Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) athletes will spend the next few days participating in competitions at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. From snowboarding to alpine skiing, athletes, their coaches and volunteers from all across the state will be at the resort until Feb.

The 46th Annual Special Olympic Winter Games, held at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, saw over 300 athletes from across the state participating in various winter sports. The event, which took place over the weekend, included activities like skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. Athletes competed in both individual and team events, showcasing their skills and spirit. The games not only provided a competitive platform but also emphasized the values of inclusion, courage, and joy, with participants and volunteers alike celebrating the achievements of the athletes. The event was highlighted by the dedication of volunteers, the enthusiasm of the athletes, and the supportive community atmosphere, making it a memorable occasion for all involved.
