The Challenger tournament in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, witnessed a disturbing scene on Tuesday due to a shooting incident near the courts where the competition was taking place.

A shooting incident disrupted a Challenger tennis tournament in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, when a man fired a gun near the venue, leading to the suspension of the event. The Congolese Tennis Federation confirmed that the shooting occurred close to the tennis complex, causing panic among players and spectators. No injuries were reported, but the tournament was halted as a precaution. The incident took place during a match between Denis Yevseyev and Katshongo Kinsaka, with Yevseyev leading 6-2, 3-1 when play was stopped. The ATP is currently assessing the situation to determine if the tournament can resume.
