The barbell fell onto the back of his neck, causing critical injuries. Despite immediate medical attention, he passed away shortly after due to a broken neck and nerve compression which led to respiratory failure. This event underscores the risks associated with heavy weightlifting, particularly without proper safety measures or spotters.
