Maya Witherspoon leaves a lasting legacy on and off the court for Lafayette volleyball

Maya Witherspoon, a standout volleyball player from Lafayette High School, has left an indelible mark both on and off the court. Known for her exceptional skills as an outside hitter, she led her team to a state championship in 2023, earning accolades such as the Post-Dispatch All-Metro player of the year. Beyond her athletic prowess, Witherspoon has been recognized for her leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement. Her commitment to volleyball will continue at the collegiate level at the University of Kentucky, where she plans to study kinesiology.
