Barrie speed skaters to face top-notch competition in New Brunswick

The Barrie Speed Skating Club is sending a team of 11 skaters to the 2023 Canada Winter Games in New Brunswick, where they will compete against some of the best young speed skaters in the country. The team, which includes both male and female athletes, has been training rigorously to prepare for this high-level competition. The event, taking place from February 18 to March 5, 2023, will see these athletes not only racing for personal bests but also for the pride of representing Barrie. The skaters are excited about the opportunity to showcase their skills on a national stage, with some expressing hopes of making lifelong memories and possibly securing medals. The community and the club are rallying behind the team, offering support and encouragement as they aim to make their mark at the Games.
