On 3 June, the Pasifika Sipoti news brief covered several sports updates from the Pacific region. In rugby, the Fiji Water Flying Fijians are set to play against Manu Samoa in a historic match at the Apia Park on July 29, marking the first time in 12 years they will face each other on Samoan soil. In netball, the Silver Ferns of New Zealand are preparing for the PacificAus Sports Netball Series in Australia, with a squad of 15 players selected for the event. Additionally, in athletics, the Oceania Area Championships in Fiji saw athletes from across the region competing, with notable performances from Papua New Guinea's sprinter Pais Wisil and Fiji's thrower Deborah Bulai.
