Four Canadians will also work as part of the IIHF officiating coaching staff this season: Todd Anderson (Calgary, AB.), Kevin Muench (Moose Jaw, SK), Jacqui Palm (Newmarket, ON) and Vanessa Stratton (Windsor, ON).

Hockey Canada has launched a new Officiating Education and Development Program for the 2024-25 season, aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of officials at all levels. This program introduces a comprehensive curriculum that includes both on-ice and off-ice training, focusing on areas such as rule knowledge, game management, communication, and physical fitness. The initiative seeks to standardize officiating practices across the country, providing officials with the tools needed to excel in their roles. It also emphasizes mentorship and continuous learning through various modules and resources available online, ensuring that officials can progress from grassroots to elite levels with structured support. The program is part of Hockey Canada's broader commitment to improving the quality of officiating, thereby enhancing the overall experience of the game for players, coaches, and fans.
