  • After finishing runner-up at state this fall in Division 2, the Blackhawks surpassed the six-point threshold over a three-year period to qualify for a bump in division, even if their 2025-26 tournament placement enrollment does not initially move them up a division.

The Bloomer and Hudson cross country teams are set to compete in higher divisions next year due to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association's (WIAA) biennial realignment. Bloomer's boys and girls teams will move from Division 3 to Division 2, while Hudson's teams will shift from Division 1 to Division 2. This change reflects the teams' success and the WIAA's efforts to balance competition levels across the state. The realignment will take effect in the 2024-2025 school year, and it aims to ensure that schools compete against others of similar size and athletic prowess.
