  • The Fiji Rakavi Football Union Ltd (FRFU) held its General Assembly yesterday, bringing together representatives from its 29 member unions to discuss the future of rugby in Fiji.

The Fiji Rugby Football Union (FRFU) is undergoing a significant transformation aimed at securing a bold future for Fijian rugby. This includes the establishment of a new constitution and the creation of a new company, Fiji Rugby Union Limited, which will manage the commercial aspects of rugby in Fiji. The FRFU has also introduced a Trust Board to oversee the distribution of funds, ensuring transparency and accountability. These changes are part of a broader strategy to professionalize rugby operations, enhance governance, and foster sustainable growth. The initiative has been supported by World Rugby, with the goal of improving the sport's infrastructure and performance on both domestic and international stages.
