  • Newcastle United, who beat Brentford last night, will be particularly keen to discover their route to a Wembley final in March, having failed to pick up a major trophy since 1955. Liverpool and Arsenal also booked their spots in the last four with narrow wins over Southampton and Crystal Palace respectively.

The Carabao Cup semi-final draw has set up exciting matchups for the upcoming matches. Manchester United will face Nottingham Forest, while Newcastle United will take on Southampton. This draw follows the conclusion of the quarter-finals where Manchester United secured a 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic, Newcastle United triumphed 2-0 against Leicester City, and Nottingham Forest advanced with a 1-1 draw followed by a penalty shootout win over Wolves. Southampton also progressed after defeating Manchester City on penalties. The semi-finals are scheduled for the weeks commencing January 23 and January 30, with the final set for February 26 at Wembley Stadium.
