  • Mexican side Pachuca won the FIFA Challenger Cup match on penalties in Qatar on Saturday by edging Egyptian side Al Ahly 6-5 after a dour goalless draw and will face Real Madrid in next week's Intercontinental Cup final.

Pachuca secured their spot in the final of the Intercontinental Cup against Real Madrid by defeating Al Ahly in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in the semi-final match held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The game was intense, with Al Ahly taking the lead through a penalty by Hussein El Shahat in the 80th minute, only for Pachuca to equalize in the 90th minute via a penalty from Salomon Rondon. The match went into extra time, but no further goals were scored, leading to a penalty shootout where Pachuca triumphed 5-4. This victory sets up an exciting final against Real Madrid, who are looking to add another title to their collection.
