The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has introduced a new policy that prohibits transgender women from participating in most female tournaments, aligning with the International Tennis Federation's (ITF) guidelines. Under the new rules, transgender women can only compete in the LTA's women's events if they meet specific criteria set by the ITF, which includes having testosterone levels below 5 nmol/L for at least 12 months prior to competition.
