  • William Yancey, a history lecturer at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, is on his way to the finals in tonight's episode of Jeopardy Second Chance Competition. Yancey made his first appearance on Jeopardy in September.

William Yancey, a lecturer at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), is set to appear on the popular quiz show "Jeopardy!" airing on March 26, 2024. Yancey, who teaches in the Department of Writing and Language Studies, has been a fan of the show since childhood, often watching it with his family. His participation in "Jeopardy!" was sparked by an online test, followed by an in-person audition in Austin, Texas. His appearance on the show represents not only a personal achievement but also an opportunity to inspire his students by demonstrating the value of knowledge and the pursuit of one's passions.
