Manchester United are set to face competition from Liverpool in their pursuit of Sporting CP's manager Ruben Amorim, who has been identified as a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag. Amorim, who has a €10m release clause, has impressed with his work at Sporting, leading them to a league title in 2021 and currently placing them second in the league standings. His success has not only caught the attention of Manchester United but also Liverpool, who are looking for a new manager following Jurgen Klopp's announced departure. Additionally, Amorim has requested that if he moves to a new club, they should also consider signing Sporting's star striker Viktor Gyokeres, who has a €100m release clause, indicating his high value and potential interest from top clubs.
