Ann Arbor, MI - January 12, 2026 - The Michigan Wolverines swimming and diving teams kicked off the new year with a dual meet against Indiana University this past Saturday. While the women's team delivered a resounding victory, the men's squad faced a narrow defeat, showcasing both the team's strengths and areas for improvement as the season progresses.

The women's team asserted their dominance, securing a decisive win with a score of 243-116. This commanding performance signals a strong start to the semester and reinforces the team's potential for continued success. Head coach Maggie Farquhar praised the team's aggressive racing strategy, noting, "We talked about the need to come out and race aggressively, and I think the team did that. We had a lot of great performances, and a really positive start to the semester."

Junior Lena Foresi was a standout performer for the Wolverines, spearheading the team's success with victories in both the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events.
