  • The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will race at Bristol tonight, but there will be a bit of a twist in the first 30 laps. Without practice or qualifying today due to rain, NASCAR is going to have a competition caution on or around Lap 30 tonight.

NASCAR has introduced a competition caution at lap 50 for the Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, a decision influenced by the absence of practice and qualifying sessions due to weather conditions. This change aims to enhance safety and competition by allowing teams to check their trucks mid-race, a necessity given the unique challenges posed by racing at Bristol without prior track time. The race, set for a 200-lap distance, will see drivers starting based on a performance metric formula, with Zane Smith and Ty Majeski securing the front row positions.
