As LSU football kicked off spring camp over the weekend for the 2025 season, one of the noticeable differences in the program's roster that the Tigers lacked a year ago: depth. Head coach Brian Kelly and his staff are no longer focused on simply filling gaps.
The LSU football team is entering spring camp with a renewed sense of depth and competition, particularly on the defensive side. After a challenging 2022 season where the defense struggled, the team has seen significant changes with the addition of new talent through recruiting and the transfer portal. Key areas of focus include the secondary, where new transfers like Denver Harris from Texas A&M and JK Johnson from Ohio State are expected to bolster the cornerback position.
