  • Shiffrin said Monday she was thankful to avoid worse after her fall Saturday during the giant slalom at a World Cup event in Vermont.

Mikaela Shiffrin, the star skier, has been sidelined indefinitely due to a knee injury she sustained while attempting to secure her 100th World Cup victory.
