  • Major changes are sweeping through Kaulig Racing as the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series team announced changes to its competition leadership. Mike Cook, former lead engineer at Stewart-Haas Racing with drivers Kurt Busch, Aric Almirola and Chase Briscoe, is joining Kaulig Racing as Technical Director.

Kaulig Racing has announced significant changes to its competition leadership team ahead of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The team has appointed Travis Mack as the new crew chief for the No. 16 Chevrolet, previously serving as the crew chief for AJ Allmendinger's No. 10 car. Mack will now work with driver Josh Williams. Additionally, former crew chief Matt Swiderski has been promoted to the role of technical director, where he will oversee the technical aspects of the team's operations. These changes come as part of Kaulig Racing's strategy to enhance performance and competitiveness in the upcoming season, following a year where they achieved notable success including a win at the Indianapolis road course.
