m confirmed the swimmer's plans, which were reported by Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN) on Saturday.

Sarah Sjostrom, the Swedish swimming star, has announced she will take a break from competitive swimming in 2025 to focus on her mental and physical health. This decision comes after a rigorous schedule that included the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she aims to compete. Sjostrom, who holds the world record in the 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly, expressed that the break is necessary to recharge and ensure longevity in her career. She plans to return to competition in 2026, with her sights set on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
