Al-Attiyah, who finished second in the prologue and 11th in the first stage, expressed his disappointment with the current setup, which he feels does not adequately test the competitors' endurance and navigation skills. He also mentioned the need for changes in the route planning to ensure that the rally remains a true test of skill and strategy, rather than just a series of short, less demanding stages.
