The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a significant 75% increase in the prize money for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to take place in Kenya from September 22 to October 13. The winners of the tournament will now receive $2 million, up from $1.15 million in the previous edition. The runners-up will earn $800,000, while the two semi-finalists will each receive $500,000, and the four quarter-finalists will be awarded $300,000 each. This increase aims to enhance the competition's appeal and support the development of football across the continent.
