Set to launch in January 2024, TGL will feature six teams of three PGA Tour players each, competing in a tech-infused arena in Palm Beach, Florida. The league will use a virtual course for long shots, with players hitting into a screen, while short game and putting will occur on real grass. Matches will be concise, lasting two hours, and will be broadcasted in prime time on Monday nights, aiming to fit into the busy schedules of modern viewers. The initiative not only seeks to engage fans with a faster-paced, tech-savvy presentation but also to complement the traditional golf calendar, potentially reshaping how golf is consumed and experienced.
