Alysa Liu, the two-time U.S. women's figure skating champion, made a triumphant return from retirement at the 2025 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Columbus, Ohio. Liu, who had stepped away from competitive skating in April 2022 to focus on her education, showcased her skills with a standout performance, including a triple Axel and a combination of triple Lutz-triple toe loop, which helped her secure the lead after the short program.
