  • Having won in her lone appearance on the World Surf League's Championship Tour as a wild card, Canadian teenager Erin Brooks now looks to leave her mark as a full-time member of pro surfing's top tier.

Erin Brooks, a 16-year-old Canadian surfer, is set to make her debut as a full-time member of the World Surf League's (WSL) top-tier Championship Tour (CT) in 2024. Originally from Texas but raised in Tofino, British Columbia, Brooks has been granted a wildcard entry into the CT, bypassing the usual qualification process. This opportunity comes after she won the 2023/2024 WSL North America Regional Longboard title and finished second in the shortboard rankings. Her entry into the CT is seen as a significant step in her career, allowing her to compete against the world's best surfers. Brooks, who has been surfing since she was five, expressed her excitement about the chance to learn from and compete with top athletes, aiming to make a mark in the surfing world.
