Ilia Malinin, an 18-year-old figure skater, won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships with a groundbreaking performance, becoming the first skater to land a quadruple Axel in competition and executing a total of seven quadruple jumps in his free skate. His routine, set to the "Succession" theme, included a quad Axel, quad Lutz, quad loop, quad Salchow, and three quad-triple combinations, showcasing his technical prowess.
