  • Defending overall World Cup champion Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland gained her first win of the season, taking the super-G event at Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Sunday, with American Lindsey Vonn finishing 13th.

Lara Gut-Behrami secured her first victory of the season in the women's World Cup super-G race held in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, on January 26, 2025. She finished with a time of 1:20.77, narrowly beating Italy's Federica Brignone by 0.09 seconds. This win was significant as it was her first since the previous season's super-G in St. Moritz. Meanwhile, Lindsey Vonn, despite not winning, continued her impressive run by finishing 13th, marking her 13th consecutive super-G podium. The race was also notable for the absence of Mikaela Shiffrin, who was sidelined due to a knee injury.
