Madras will host Asia's first international Hyperloop competition from February 21 to 25, officials said on Monday. What Is A Hyberloop? Hyperloop, a high-speed train that travels in a near-vacuum tube.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) is set to host Asia's first International Hyperloop Competition from February 21 to 25, 2024, in collaboration with IIT-M's Hyperloop Technology Team (HTT) and Elon Musk's Boring Company. This event will see participation from over 50 teams from around the world, including countries like the USA, Canada, and Germany, with a total of 1000 participants. The competition aims to foster innovation in transportation technology, focusing on Hyperloop, a proposed high-speed transportation system. IIT-M has developed a 400-meter vacuum tube test facility for this event, which is the first of its kind in Asia. The competition will not only showcase technological advancements but also promote collaboration and knowledge exchange among students and professionals in the field of futuristic transport solutions.
