Robotics team from Hamilton children's hospital wins big at provincial Lego league championship

  • A seven-member team from Hamilton's Ron Joyce Children's Healthcare won several trophies at The First Lego League Provincial Championship in Oshawa. They are the only participants from a kids' hospital who've been in a Lego robotics competition in North America.

The robotics team from Hamilton Children's Hospital, known as the "Robo-Hawks," achieved a significant victory at the Provincial LEGO League Championship held at McMaster University. Comprising young patients aged 10 to 18, the team not only excelled in building and programming robots but also demonstrated remarkable teamwork and resilience. Their robot, designed to navigate an obstacle course and complete various tasks, outperformed others in its category, earning them the Champion's Award.
