The NFL Pro Bowl has introduced a series of skills contests to replace the traditional game format, aiming to make the event more engaging and entertaining. These contests include Dodgeball, where teams compete in a best-of-three series with points awarded for wins; Lightning Round, a relay race with various challenges like water balloon tosses and obstacle courses; Longest Drive, where players attempt to hit the longest golf drive; Precision Passing, where quarterbacks aim at targets for points; Best Catch, showcasing players' creativity in catching footballs in unique settings; Gridiron Gauntlet, an obstacle course relay race; Kick Tac Toe, a tic-tac-toe game for kickers; Move the Chains, a strength and teamwork event involving pulling weights; Flag Football, a non-contact version of the game; and Tug of War, testing team strength over a mud pit. Each event has specific rules and scoring systems designed to highlight different skills and add a competitive yet fun element to the Pro Bowl festivities.
