  • The 'Sports Data Gameathon' aims to become a catalyst for innovation, propelling India towards becoming a global leader in sports technology.

The Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS) has launched the "Sports Data Gameathon," an AI challenge aimed at students from India's top educational institutions. This initiative, in collaboration with IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, seeks to harness AI and machine learning to innovate in sports data analytics. The competition, which runs from February 19 to March 19, 2024, invites students to develop AI models that can predict various sports outcomes, enhancing the fantasy sports experience. Participants will have access to a comprehensive dataset from FIFS, and the event not only promises to foster innovation but also offers significant prizes, with the top team receiving Rs 1 lakh, and the first and second runners-up receiving Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively. This Gameathon is part of FIFS's broader strategy to promote AI in sports and engage with the academic community.
